ITQB-UNL has a license agreement with Microsoft that, upon any user request, allows SI (ITQB's information technology support group) to upgrade the operating systems in all computers registered at SI, from WindowsME to the most recent Windows 7. One should notice that SI is only qualified to update existing operating systems, being forbidden to SI their installation in computers that do not possess a legal operating system.

O ITQB-UNL possui um Contracto de Licenciamento com a Microsoft que permite ao SI (Serviço de Informática) fazer actualizações (upgrades), a quem assim o solicitar, nos computadores registados no SI, para os sistemas operativos daquela marca desde o WindowsME, até ao mais recente Windows 7. Faz-se notar que o SI apenas está habilitado a actualizar sistemas operativos já existentes, sendo vedada ao SI a instalação de novo de um sistema operativo Microsoft em computadores que não possuam o sistema operativo legalizado.

ESET is the antivirus software for the ITQB, this licence allows it to be installed on the ITQB machines and in the home machines of ITQB's staff and researchers.
