Wireless

We have 5 wireless networks for general use covering the hole ITQB building.

ITQB is a restricted network for ITQB users, you can login with your account password after try to open non secure web page (http://). You will be able to access most magazines subscribed by ITQB and use the VPN. The session timeout is 3 days so you can be allways connected.
ITQBopen is an open network, for guests or quick but limited access to Internet.
ITQBint is a closed network for ITQB users access. Use your ITQB credentials after registering your laptop with SI.
ITQB-Devices is a closed external network for sensors and IoT devices, please contact SI.
eduroam is a Europe wide network, use the instructions bellow to access.

Advices / Warnings

The ITQB and ITQBopen are unencrypeted insecure networks, it's ok to browse the internet, use google or read the news, but if you want security you must use secure sites, allways check for https:// on all url and a lock icon next to the URL (depending on the browser).

How to configure wireless eduroam

Download the CAT eduroam installer, and follow the instructions for your operating system.

Windows

Just run the installer, follow the instructions and connect to eduroam network with your ITQB credentials (full username@itqb.unl.pt)

MacOS

Download and double click to install the security profile.
A notification will appear on the macOS desktop that the profile has been loaded and must be reviewed in System Settings to proceed.
Navigate to System Settings and select Privacy and Security then select Profiles to view the added profile.
Double-click the eduroam profile to continue. Next the profile configuration criteria, signature and certificate settings will display. Select Install to proceed.
Login to eduroam network with your ITQB credentials (full username@itqb.unl.pt)

Linux

Run the script after downloading.

# python3 eduroam-linux-UNdL-ITQB_NOVA.py
