Config XP

Note: If you don't already have a username and password for eduroam supplied by SI, you can ask it by filling an helpdesk.

Click Start and then Control Panel. With your mouse right button click Wireless Connection Open the Properties tab.

In the Wireless Network tab click Add. Click on

Type eduroam at the SSID line. Tick the option Connect even if not broadcasting (if that option appears ) In Network Authentication, select WPA. In Data encryption, select TKIP.

Change to the Authentication tab Untick Authenticate as computer when computer information is available Select Protected EAP (PEAP) Finally, click on Properties.

Untick Validate server certificate Tick Enable Fast Reconnect Click Configure

Untick the check box

In the right bottom corner, near the clock a balloon will pop-up, asking for your credentials. Please click it.

Fill the username and password fields. The user must have the following format: [username]@itqb.unl.pt, for exemple john@itqb.unl.pt.

You should now be connected to the eduroam network.
